Movie Review: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

What do you get when you mix Michael Bay, Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, a large chunk of money, and a load of hype? The crappiest of movies, apparently.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Official Site

Let me start by saying that I didn’t hate the first Transformers. I know it was just a really expensive car commercial, but it felt fun and light.

That being said, sequels, by their very nature, with few exceptions, are pointless. They are an obvious way for producers and studios to milk more money from the viewer.

This Michael Bay sequel is no exception. It should also be noted that it was unspeakably awful. Words will fail at conveying to you, faithful reader, what a disaster on so many levels this was. Inexcusable. Unforgivable. I will never get those 149 minutes back.

It made zero sense and there was no logic to pretty much anything that anyone was doing. I don’t think the “actors” knew that they were even in the same movie. I can’t get over how much of the movie didn’t add up. It was bizarre. What is your problem, Michael Bay? Seriously, what’s up?

The editing was easily the worst I have seen in my life. And I’ve seen plenty of atrocious movies. This one wins that dubious award.

I heard that Michael Bay’s next project is Thundercats. I have no idea if this is actually true, but if it is, God help us all.

Rating on the Hugh Jackman Scale (1 to 5 Hugh Jackmans, five being the best):

This movie gets no Hugh Jackmans. It doesn’t deserve to be anywhere near Hugh Jackman.
